Established in 1998, Shanghai Yuyuan Bio-Engineering Co., Ltd is devoted to research, development, production and marketing of special microbial fertilizers in virtue of advanced biological technology. Originally it was founded by Shanghai Yuyuan (Group) Co., Ltd. and Beijing Puruian Bio-Tech Co., Ltd.. Total investment of over RMB40 million Yuan is placed accumulatively and registered capital amounts to RMB6 million Yuan. The composite microbes separation and cultivation technology that the company bases on as the core technology, is the research fruit of experts from China Academy of Agricultural Sciences by name of the Prime Minister Fund-sponsored project. It has been listed as the only national key farming fertilizer hi-tech industrialization project in the microbial fertilizer industry in 1999. Teaming up with Tropical Crop Development Center of South Asia from Ministry of Agriculture and Rubber Planting Research Institute from Chinese Academy of Tropical Farming in 2003, Shanghai Yuyuan develops out customized fertilizers for rubber, which win credits from state-owned farms of China southern Yunnan and Hainan provinces that the fertilizers apply widely. Led by China State Farm Economic Development Center , the project enters the green wood and the customized fertilizers for rubber is larger-scaled applied after two years long demonstration and promotion in these two provinces.
